UAE Gaming Laws
Understanding UAE gaming regulation
We explain where official material lives and how to read it. We do not paraphrase rules, state age limits, or draw legal conclusions — those belong to the authorities that publish them.
Guides
Start with one of these
Each guide is a structured template with its own verification state and source references.
- What Is the GCGRA?Verification pendingAn orientation to the UAE's federal commercial gaming regulator and how to read what it publishes.
- How to Check an Operator's LicenceVerification pendingA practical method for confirming whether a licensing claim is supported by an official record.
- Online Gaming: Regulatory OverviewWhere online activity sits in the published framework, and what we leave unstated.
Visitor eligibility: what to verify
Rather than publish eligibility rules we have not confirmed, we publish the questions to put to official sources.
- Visitor eligibility: what to verify
- Ask the venue and the regulator who may enter, what identification is required, and what age applies. We do not publish eligibility rules we have not checked, and rules can differ by venue and emirate.
- Which body issued the permission
- Federal and emirate-level bodies have different remits. Note which body a document comes from before relying on it.
- The date on the document
- An undated claim cannot be verified. Prefer dated notices, registers, and published rules over summaries.
- Whether the document answers your question
- If it does not, the question is unanswered. Inferring an answer from adjacent material is how errors enter circulation.
